Finally, I slept last night light-hearted.

Before my Cebu-secured flight, I was searching for answers because I needed to suppose that I made the right election. My prayers were answered last nightfall. Apologies were made, misunderstandings were cleared out and a inexperienced start was established. In defiance of the emotional torture of the last two months, I am now at non-warring with my decision of leaving.

The man I have been with for almost-four years promised to be my finery friend forever. I am kinsfolk, he said. The man who I meditating clipped my wings has let me fly unceremonious on my own. I have stronger wings now, he said. I can upwards higher. The man who saved me from the nothing I almost become is now prouder to let me go and take on the great on my own. He said I can be anything and everything even without his charge or strength. He has assurance in me.

Although it is still heartrending to puss tomorrow without his indefatigable presence, it is heartening to remember that the love we had shared has not withered but has somehow been modified into a unalike form. I am indebted that we are still in each other’s lives even if wedding bells could never be more than solely faded reverie.

“Mami-maid kita talaga, Niyaku. Ikaw, mami-oversight mo ba ako?” I wiped away the tears and uttered the truly that I only know that half a mo: “Unimaginative.”

Acceptance, sincerely, is a like a harsh pill. But once you perceive that you need to mouthful it to cure the trial, the pain fades away. Slowly, even at a snail’s speed, but it fades away. It’s lifetime to gracefully let Niyaku go.
